FAQ
Cannabidiol, better known as CBD is a phytocannabinoid with extreme potential, it is found in cannabis and/or agricultural hemp. Cannabinoids are the primary chemical compounds produced by the cannabis plant and there are more than 80 identified cannabinoids. You may have heard of THC which is the most known cannabinoid. THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is produced by the cannabis plant, and is the ONLY psychoactive cannabinoid. Of the 80+ non-intoxicating cannabinoids, Cannabidiol (CBD) is the most widely recognized.
In most European countries, CBD is legal to buy and consume as long as it does not include the psychoactive chemical THC. Our CBD is made from hemp that has been classified as industrial hemp and has 0.0% THC by weight. Products that are manufactured from hemp, which contain less than 0.2% of THC are completely legal in most of Europe. EU‘s Regulation (EU) 2015/2283 classifies CBD as a novel food (foods not used in the Union before May 15th, 1997).
Hemp oil is made from the components of the agricultural hemp ariel plant. Phytocannibinoids like CBD are found in greater amounts in this type of oil. Hemp seed oil, on the other hand, is made from hemp seeds and has very tiny levels of cannabinoids, if any at all. Hempseed oil is often used in a variety of items, including cosmetics, lubricants, meals, paints, and many other products.
CBD products are not medicines and cannot diagnose, treat or cure diseases. Always consult your own doctor before starting a new dietary program.
Agricultural hemp differs from marijuana in every manner, even appearance. Agricultural hemp has long stems, thin leaves, and few or no flowers. Hemp is described as a cannabis plant with less than 0.3 percent THC by weight and is used in a variety of businesses, including packaging and food. Another significant distinction is that hemp does not provide a "high" sensation. Marijuana plants, on the other hand, are grown for their flowers and are often relatively short and the THC level is much higher. However, within most European countries products with higher than 0.2% THC are illegal.
Hempt oil is a broad spectrum hemp extract that contains all of the proprietary cannabinoids. Hempt products contain 0.0 percent THC by weight and are classified as industrial hemp, making them legal to transport.
Here at Hempt, we use a two step extraction process for a superior end product. Our initial extraction is CO2, followed by a rudimentary ethanol extraction process to ensure a clean THC-Free product.
